Elevating the Pacific Northwest Culinary Journey: The Salish Dining Room Renovation and What It Means for Diners

by | Nov 8, 2024

As Seattle’s cherished Salish Lodge & Spa embarks on an exciting journey of renewal and rejuvenation, food enthusiasts and guests are invited to experience a seamless continuation of the Pacific Northwest’s rich culinary traditions despite the temporary closure of The Salish Dining Room. Starting January 8th, 2024, the iconic dining hall will undergo a comprehensive renovation to elevate the dining experience. In the meantime, the lodge ensures that the essence of its regional fare remains accessible and as delightful as ever.

Guests are encouraged to discover new dining experiences at The Restaurant (previously known as The Attic), indulge in casual relaxation at The Lounge, or enjoy quick, artisan bites at the Coffee Bar. Each alternative dining venue promises to uphold the lodge’s commitment to delivering exquisite, locally sourced meals amidst some of the best views in the Seattle area.

What to Expect

During this period of transformation, the lodge aims to minimize any inconvenience to its guests by offering a mix of reservation-required and walk-in dining options. The Restaurant will continue to serve its signature Pacific Northwest cuisine, though guests must plan and reserve their spots, whether staying overnight or just dropping by.

On the other hand, The Lounge offers a more spontaneous dining approach, welcoming guests on a walk-in basis. Through this thoughtful arrangement, Salish Lodge & Spa ensures that every visitor’s culinary journey remains uninterrupted and full of the flavors and experiences that define the region.

The Holiday’s

With the holiday season approaching, Salish Lodge & Spa is gearing up to serve an iconic coursed Thanksgiving dinner that blends tradition with the impeccable tastes of the Pacific Northwest. The Restaurant will welcome groups of up to nine people, offering a curated menu for $115 per person and a special selection for children ten and under at $30.

For those planning a larger gathering, the lodge provides a distinctive experience with tableside turkey carving in the Ballroom or Cliffside dining spaces for groups of 10 or more. This option elevates the holiday meal to a new level of elegance and personal service, priced at $135 per person and $30 for children under 10.

Reserve

Reservations are essential for ensuring a spot at the lodge’s Thanksgiving dinner table, with detailed menus and options available for viewing in advance. A credit card will secure the reservation, and guests are advised of the $50 per person cancellation fee for changes made within 14 days of November 28th. This meticulous planning and attention to detail reflect Salish Lodge & Spa’s dedication to creating memorable moments and magnificent feasts for every guest.

As the holiday season approaches, guests are encouraged to secure their reservations early and prepare for an unforgettable Thanksgiving experience amidst the beauty and bounty of the Pacific Northwest.
